Language points

We must stop and wait. 我们必须停下等一等。

表达一定要做某事的肯定句型。

句型结构：主语 + must + 动词原形 + 其他.

eg. I must go now. 现在我必须走了。

You must finish your homework first. 

你必须先完成作业。

【辨析】 must和have to

1. must   多表示主观需要或责任感的驱使有必要或有义务去做某事，多译为“必须”，没有人称和时态的变化。

2. have to   多表示客观存在的环境所限，即客观的要求，多译为“不得不”，有人称和时态的变化。

eg. We must be there on time. 我们必须准时到那儿。(责任感的驱使) 

I have to do my homework now. 我不得不现在做作业。(不得不做)
