Language Points
1. Many resolutions have to do with self-improvement．
have to do with…意为“关于；和……有关系”，
(have 后可以加much、something等)
同义短语为“be to do with…”；反义短语为“have nothing to do
with…”，意为“与……无关”。
2. We make promises to other people.
promise作名词时为可数名词，意为“承诺，诺言”。
常用的词组有：
give/make a promise 许下诺言
keep a promise 信守诺言
break a promise 违背诺言
【拓展】promise 作动词时，用法如下：
(1) promise sb sth.＝promise sth. to sb. 向某人承诺某事
(2)promise to do sth. He promised to help us.
(3)promise＋that从句
He promised me that he would give me this book.
3. Although there are differences, most resolutions have one thing in common.
have…in common 意为“和……有共同之处”。
中间常加one thing、a lot、something、nothing等词表示
“有一个、很多、一些共同之处或没有共同之处”。
4. There are different kinds of resolutions.
different kinds of 意为“各种各样的”，其中的kind为可数名词，意为“种类”。
其他常用搭配为：
a kind of 意为“一种”
all kinds of 意为“各种各样的”
kind of 意为“有点”，相当于 a little。
e.g. Apple is a kind of fruit.
There are all kinds of vegetables in the supermarket.
I am kind of hungry.
